Weather in Foresthill

Getting married in the offseason and worried about snow? This is a VERY legitimate concern for Forest Hill, depending on the time year Forest Hills can get a lot of snow. But let’s be honest, snowy wedding pictures??? YES, PLEASE!

In some rare cases, especially in the winter, the ceremony space might not be accessible by car, however the Lodge has the best back up plan. Take Mollie and Phil. They wanted to get married on St. Patrick’s Day, but right before their big day, a snowstorm rolled through and made the ceremony site impossible to get into. The Forest House Lodge Team sprung into action bringing their ceremony indoors at the Mezzanine. Their ceremony was intimate and beautiful and the bride and groom didn’t even need to stress about the weather! Plus, after the ceremony, the team quickly flipped it back for their reception and dancing!

No matter what the season, at higher elevation we encourage all our couples to be prepared for inclement weather. If rain is in the forecast, bring clear umbrellas as they photograph beautifully!
