Capitol Rose Garden engagement session –  by Dee & Kris Photography!

Nicole and Rich were excited to start their engagement session at the Capitol Rose Garden in downtown Sacramento.  They loved the greenery and incorporating the state capitol into their Capitol Rose Garden engagement session. The Capitol Rose Garden did not disappoint. Even with California being in the worst drought in centuries, the Capitol Rose Garden was in full bloom.

A crazy, amazing sunset in Old Sacramento after a lovely Capitol Rose Garden engagement shoot.

The Capitol looked amazing in this overcast light.  Nicole and Rich had to goof off a little … an engagement session isn’t complete without a little silliness.  This is a Dee & Kris couple for sure!

We had a little fun and did a few double exposure shots.  There isn’t any photo shopping this images. Instead is it processing two pictures onto one in camera.  A very fun technique offered with the 5D Markiii camera. 

A few rain drops didn’t stop this session.  We ran under a local eve in downtown sacramento and captured the lights as the sun began to sink.

Nicole & Rich plan to tie the knot at Scribner Bend Winery and wanted to include some of their Scribner Bends incredible wine into their engagement pictures.

As the clouds parted and the sunset, this Old Sacramento engagement session closed with a BANG! The colors were incredible and we were lucky enough to have been in the right place at the right time to catch all this great light with an even greater couple.
