A wedding at the Vizcaya! Dee & Kris Photography love photographing at the Vizcaya and this wedding did not disappoint. The weather was a little warm, but we had a great time capturing amazing moments with Samantha and Alex. Weddings at the Vizcaya are not complete unless you get to use the beautiful attached bed […]
After years and years of deciding how to showcase what we do in front and behind the camera we came up with this idea. Being Destination Wedding Photographers covering all of California and Beyond. We decided to shoot in a few of our favorite locations in and around California. Shooting a Promo is not as easy […]
A beautiful Haggin Oaks wedding at the Golf Course in Sacramento, California. Haggin Oaks weddings are always lovely in the fall. Since Haggin Oaks weddings are held on the golf course itself, couples are surrounded by green lawn and changing trees. Haggin Oaks has updated their outdoor venue space to include tables and AC in […]
Nature is a beautiful thing. Amy and Donny enjoy nature and wanted us to photograph their session in Davis near and around the Arboretum. If you have never been on campus you are missing out on and abundance to interesting plant life. Nature, the birds are the best part of this amazing location.
When we were contacted by this loving couple last year to shoot their wedding we had no idea what was in stored for us when we arrived at their wedding venue. Samantha and Andrew created a stunning mix of details and style at this private estate in Clements California. A blend of rustic with a […]
Vanisha & Ash are that fun, stylish couple you would love to photograph anytime of the day. They both showed up at the Fort in San Francisco dressed in their traditional Indian Wardrobe. Vanisha dressed gleamed in the sunshine like a sparkly princess while Ash looked like an actor right out of a BollyWood Movie. Photographing this amazing couple was nothing short breath taking. San Francisco offers a variety of locations for photographing couples. You can shoot around the city, their are tons of parks, your just short hike from museums and the beach. If you dare to be wild you can even spot some amazing alley ways along the city.
We opted for a different kind of look and headed to the Fort along the coast. It has been my dream for the last few years to do something along the coast and when I had the opportunity I jumped at it with this lovely couple. The weather was a bit on the cold side and I was worried the fog would roll in and take away my vision for an amazing sunset shot. Vanisha and Ash blew my mind during the shoot and my jaw dropped during every little click.
Briana and Steve have that connection that we all hope to have in our lives. We met Briana early this year while presenting at our annual bridal show in Sacramento. She heard about us from one of our previous brides whom we photographed last year. She immiedated darted towards me and said we were shooting her wedding. I love it when personal connections are made from face to face meetings. We set up a date to photographer their engagement session and WOW were we blown away by the final result. The four of us headed to the Mondavi Center in Davis California to capture some amazing fun images. Kris and I wanted to get to know the couple so we always start off with a fun joke or two to get them warmed up and ready for their session. Sometimes we even turn on the bluetooth radio to set the mood. They were stoked to being and moved with ease. The best part of the day is capturing this tiny little gestures and smiles as they glance at one other during the shoot. You can tell someone how to love, but the truth is it’s a feeling and they showed it every time.
“I want to take out engagement pictures in the woods.” This was Samantha’s only request of us. She grew up in Washington and just had to have a woody, romantic setting for her session. We drove up to Placerville and found the ideal location tucked away off Hwy 50. The sunset was flawless as we explored the Placerville National Forest. This off the path engagement session felt impromptu and spontaneous, which led to real moments between Andrew and Samantha. We literally walked off the beaten path and followed where we can only guess dear wonder until we came to an incredible clearing. We still have no clue as to what these huge weeds were, but they looked awesome. In the clearing we found an open patch of earth where the couple cuddled up and enjoyed the sunset. The huge sugar pine and sequoia trees surrounded them as they chatted and we snapped away. It was magical in all ways. What a way to kick of the winter season than with an wonderful and fun couple. Winter engagement session in the forest makes for the perfect California back drop.
“I am not nervous at all!” Amanda exclaimed when she walked through the doors of the Sequoia Mansion in Auburn, California. It was a magical day. Sunshine and warm air circulated outside and flooded through the windows. We had the pleasure of photographing Amanda and Matt right before Christmas. The mansion was decorated beautifully and the air was festive. Amanda had been out of the state for work and had not seen Matt for about 6 months prior to their wedding. She came back to town only a week before the big day, and had to work fast to get everything together. They worked as a team and the day went off without a hitch. They were able to stay in the moment and enjoy their families and festivities. They were married on the converted porch under the beautifully decorated silver plated ceiling. The wedding was small and intimate with just close family and friends in attendance.
Napa Valley is the place to go when you want a high class, romantic, and intimate wedding. Mikhaela and Sean got just that at the Calistoga Ranch in Calistoga, Ca. This couple originally booked us to shoot their wedding at a local Sacramento venue, but decided they wanted a more intimate setting. After going back and forth between dates and exotic locations, they settled on the Calistoga Ranch for their wedding. They are such a fun loving couple and have become good friends of ours. It was hard not to feel apart of their family as they only invited their closest family and friends to attend. They really wanted a feeling of closeness, and that was achieved beautifully.
Nancy and David were our 2013 Cal Expo Bridal Show winners! They received a $1900.00 Wedding Package on-the-house just for being present at the Bridal Expo and for entering our drawing. We couldn’t have lucked out any better; they chose a gorgeous venue to host their wedding, they showed us […]

Mary and Richard had a beautifully themed wedding. They dressed and orchestrated their decorations to give a 1920’s, Great Gatsby feel. Mary and Richard turned the Elks Tower Ballroom into a lovely and glamorous vintage setting. Everything from the accessories they wore, to the table-top decor was suited to fit their theme. The entire sha-bang […]
