“Alex is from France and I am from Northern California and we met at California State University. I had just returned from a year abroad in Florence and was working for the exchange program. Alex was invited to a surprise birthday party thrown by a friend of a friend. He asked for my number at my birthday party and we started dating soon thereafter. At the end of the school year I was supposed to fly to London for graduate school (I was going to attend Sotheby’s Institute) but he persuaded me to move with him to Paris instead. He helped me submit my resume to the Louvre museum where I was given a wonderful internship. We plan on returning to live in France when finished our studies in the USA.”
While Sabrina was in Florence she worked at the Uffizi Museum, so has worked at two incredibly prestigious art institutes. She was asked to stay an extra year at the Uffizi but she declined in order to finish her studies and graduate back home (despite everyone’s advice to the contrary). Good thing she did though- if she had stayed in Italy she wouldn’t have met Alex. Fate is funny sometimes isn’t it?
