A Wedding at Scribner Bend

These two sweeties met in college on none other than Tinder! Alex finally convinced Alyssa to go on a date with him and she realized he had to be a good person based on the way her dogs loved him instantly. They had a blast and after some time dating, Alex wanted to introduce Alyssa to his family. By family, we mean HUGE family! Alex brought Alyssa to a family graduation party that had over 200 people in attendance. She was super nervous but gave it a chance and by the end of the night fell in love with his family and knew it was a family she wanted to be a part of. Alyssa later found out that Alex was actually watching her connect with his family and at that moment knew he wanted to marry her! *GOOGLY EYES!* After going through the motions of finishing college, traveling, and moving closer to Sacramento to be near family, Alex took Alyssa to Sevilla, Spain. Spain has a special place in Alex’s heart because it is where his parents met, where he was born, and where his grandmother still lives. They went for 17 days and each day Alyssa was waiting for him to pop the question. After a week of no proposal, Alyssa was convinced it was not going to happen. Much to her surprise, Alex was waiting for the perfect moment! He proposed in front of the fountain at Plaza de Espana in Sevilla which is one of his favorite places (now hers too!) and he wanted his parents and grandmother to be present as well as Alyssa’s best friend!

We at Dee and Kris are so grateful to have been able to capture this beautiful Wedding at Scribner Bend! The Venue did not disappoint and is surrounded by the luscious grape vines made for some captivating photos! Shoutout to Alyssa’s Hair and makeup artist Heather from The Traveling Stylist who did an amazing job showing off Alyssa’s natural beauty (can we please have a shoutout for those insanely cute dimples?!!) Thank you to Visual Impact Design for the gorgeous flower arrangements and Sinful Treats for all the delicious choices in cupcakes! Steve from Function 45 who had the crowd going wild and Paesano’s for the scrumptious food!! All in all, we love this amazing couple and all those they have surrounded themselves with. All the emotions (Thanks for the great photos Alex!) remind us why capturing true love means so much to us! Congrats you two!
