These two lovebirds started their journey early on in life, here is their story! Check out their gorgeous Spring Vizcaya Wedding!

“Brian and I had officially met on MySpace when we were 15. We had mutual friends who convinced Brian to send me a message and after that, it never stopped. We finally decided to meet in person and had our first date in Old Sacramento. On our second date, we snuck into the movie theater and watched Pineapple Express. I had to leave right away after the movie and as soon as I was going to say goodbye, Brian grabbed my hand and said: “I really like you, would you want to be…..” I didn’t let him finish and gave him a big hug and just said yes! That is the beginning of our incredible journey together!
Throughout high school, we watched each other’s sports and I dragged him to homecoming and prom even though I knew he didn’t want to go. He never told me no. We’ve been together for the worst of times and the best of times. We have always managed to balance each other out and most importantly, we always had each other’s back. I always dreamed of marrying Brian. We used to talk about marrying each other as soon as we turned 18 and moved out but we realized that was not going to happen. I think Brian and I were meant to be together at a young age to help each other through all the mess.
Jumping forward years later…
I just got accepted into Paramedic School to pursue my career as a Paramedic Firefighter. I was stressed and all I wanted to do was study! Brian insisted for us to go out of town to Monterrey for a trip. He told me to be ready at 8 am but I overslept and was grumpy.
My parents insisted for me to go, so I went. I kept telling Brian I didn’t want to go, but he kept telling me I need to de-stress.
We hit massive traffic and I was just being mean. After finally arriving at Carmel Beach it was jam packed!!! Brian just said: “let’s go find a quiet spot over there…” So I grabbed my blanket and laid it down. I wanted to take a picture so after looking through my bag I turned around to find him with his big smile on one knee…He just said “Ashley, Will you marry me?” I jumped up and down, crying saying “Are you serious?!” and gave him a big hug and said “yes!”
Monterey is very significant to us. When we were in high school my parents took Brian and I to Carmel Beach and Brian said “I’m gonna propose to you here one day” and of course he did…
Its hard to say what my favorite part of the wedding was because honestly, every part of it was amazing! Looking at my husband down the aisle and thinking, I’ve waited 10 years for this and I’m marrying my high school sweetheart. The feeling of butterflies from the beginning of the morning till the end of the night. The realization that I will be with my best friend for the rest of my days and get to continue my greatest adventure with him…”
