Janelle and Kris got married in 2008, but 2021 was the perfect time for their Vizcaya Wedding Vow Renewal. In a beautiful, unique, and touching ceremony, the couple said “I do” again. Along with their son, Xander, they gathered together with friends and family on a beautiful October day.
Janelle’s favorite color is “sparkle” and sparkle she did in this beautiful dress from Second Summer Bride. The spaghetti strap bodice of her gown glimmered with beads embroidered in an intricate wave pattern. Paired with strappy sandals and elegant jewelry pieces, Janelle shone brightly.
Janelle’s smile tells the whole story of love and joy and beauty. She wore that smile as her showpiece, but also wore a unique back necklace and her favorite Este Lauder perfume. Her hair and make-up added to her shimmer by the talented artists at Lavender Salon and Blow Out Bar.
Renewing their vows meant that Janelle and Kris got to have their son Xander take part in the ceremony. The couple each had a moment with him. Kris helped Xander into his suit and tie while Janelle and Xander got a very special First Look session.
Both Kris and Xander also got their suits from Second Summer. Kris was all smiles as they made last minute adjustments to their suit and boutonniere. .
Looking dapper in a suit and tie, Kris gazes out the window with excitement at saying “I do” again.
Although they’ve been together for years, Janelle and Kris’s first look was just like seeing each other for the first time again. Janelle cried, as Kris could not stop looking at her.
The beautiful bouquet of cyclamens, succulents, roses, and orchids Janelle carried was created by Sacramento’s own Visual Impact Design. They also did the floral arrangements throughout the ceremony.
As a wedding venue, Vizcaya is breathtaking. Because of the seating-in-the-round arrangement it had a dramatic and theatrical feel as well. The brides were literally surrounded by their family and friends making everything more intimate.
The adorable flower girls twirled like princesses in their flower girl dresses.
As cute as they were though, the flower men stole the show with their funny and charming skit. As one flower man gleefully tossed petals around the venue, the other flower man begrudgingly followed behind with a leaf blower to clean up after him.
Family and friends gathered together to watch as Janelle and Kris renewed their vows to each other. Because they were seating in a circle, the couple rotated throughout the ceremony to ensure that everyone was a part of it.
Guests happily watch the couple as they repeat their vows to each other.
With a kiss and a little bit of sass, the happy couple playfully reintroduced each other to their guests.
…and everyone celebrated!
Dee and Kris love taking moments before and after the ceremony to let their couples, just be. These romance sessions provide a little bit of intimacy and connection in a day that is filled with so much.
Cheers and laughter filled the October evening air as guests gathered to celebrate the couple.
Undoubtedly, the people at Freeport Bakery are talented and provided the beautiful two-tiered cake adorned with flowers and pearls. The cake topper sparkled the sentiment of the day; “we still do”.
Inside the venue, gorgeous uplighting and a projected sign with the couple’s initials lit up the walls in hues of purple and pink. This lighting provided a dramatic backdrop as the couple share their first dance and pose for photos.
…and everyone here is a part of the family as they toast The Robb Ohana underneath their custom neon sign created by the fabulous SacTown Neon.
Beat Fleet DJs provided the soundtrack for the evening that got everybody moving all night long!
…and love is forever.
Congratulations, Janelle and Kris!
