Abe and Amy created a very special day that helped us create some of our favorite Scribner Bend wedding photos!

We had so much fun with all these wonderful people!!! So many surprises and laughs the whole day! Amy and Abe have such amazing hearts that even on their special day they made sure to celebrate their bridal party in clever ways as well as their guests. Amy looked stunning in her dress from Miosa Bride and we loved that she didn’t cover those GORGEOUS freckles simple makeup by Aria Weddings for a flawless beauty! We also loved the was Andrew made himself stand out in his custom tux from R. Douglas Custom Clothier, with his favorite colors and patterns! Dee and Kris were so excited to have shared the love of these two on their special day and wish Amy and Andrew endless years of pure joy, laughs, and love.

Here’s their story…
“Amy works with kids, Abe works with computers. We both have midwest ties (Abe grew up near Cleveland, Ohio, Amy went to college in Minnesota, but grew up nearby in Davis). We met on OKCupid 5 years-to the day-before our wedding, and our first date was at a local brewery (River City, while it was still downtown). We hardly noticed that the waiter had forgotten about our food order for quite some time, since we would have happily sat chatting for the extra time anyway, but didn’t mind getting the food comped. We’ve been exploring the Sacramento beer & wine scene ever since! We enjoy living so close to so many options–we will often try to incorporate our other hobbies of running and biking into how we get to local breweries.  The beginning of our relationship was spent trading weekends in Davis or Folsom, before we ended up in Rancho Cordova with two awesome cats (Snorri, and Freydis, names inspired by a trip to Iceland a couple summers ago).
We chose Scribner Bend because we liked the outdoorsy space, the location (close to home, and giving out of town guests a taste of Sacramento), and of course their wine! We are also excited that we can have Amy’s sister brew a beer for our wedding as well! We look forward to grabbing a drink at O’Malley’s in Old Sac post-wedding, since that’s where we continued our first date 5 years prior! (With the hotel in convenient walking distance).
Our colors are green (Amy) and orange (Abe), for our favorite colors.We are excited to see all of our friends and family gather together to party with us as we begin our marriage. We hope to surprise our guests a couple of times throughout the evening (keep scrolling for their fun surprise!), and have a joyful time celebrating our love!”
