The Citizen Hotel sits amongst the tall buildings of The Emerald City. The beautiful cityscape makes the perfect backdrop for Shelley and Daniel to say “I do”.
The details of this wedding were both fun and subtle in a way that would still make Peter Parker and Mary Jane proud. The invitations from Minted were sealed with red and blue sealing wax and spider stamps that would get any webslinger’s Spidey sense tingling.
Shelley’s make-up was beautifully done by the talented professionals at All Dolled Up.
Shelly looked radiant in the mermaid style strapless gown she found at Miosa Bride. She beamed as she stood in the sunlight, gazing out the window at the city. The Betsey Johnson strap sandals she chose sparkled almost as brightly as her smile.
Standing atop the roof of The Citizen Hotel, Shelley gave her parents each a handkerchief monogrammed with beautiful and sentimental quotes.
Just like Peter and MJ, Dan and Shelley began their relationship as friends. What’s better than marrying the person you love? Marrying your best friend. You could see that on Dan’s face as he got dressed for the big day.
Not only does Dan looked debonair in his red shirt, blue suit, and striped tie., but also rather heroic.
Opting to not do a First Look Session, Dan made his way down the aisle to see his bride. With his mother on one arm and Shelley’s mother on his other arm, he grinned from ear to ear.
“…when you look in her eyes and she’s looking back in yours, everything feels not quite normal. Because you feel stronger and weaker at the same time. You feel excited, and at the same time, terrified. The truth is, you don’t know what you feel except you know what kind of man you want to be. It’s as if you’ve reached the unreachable and you weren’t ready for it.” – Peter Parker
Shelley and Dan made their grand entrance as husband and wife amid cheers and toasts from their guests.
Shelley added a fun tule overskirt to her dress for the reception. Because she has always loved the sparkle, she wore jeweled sneakers by Diamond Kicks Australia for her reception as well.
The blue uplighting set a perfect backdrop for the couple’s cake by Freeport Bakery. Their cake topper was an adorable silhouette of Spidey and his bride in their famous upside down kiss.
As the couple took to the dance floor the DJ from Extreme Productions Entertainment played the Spiderman Theme Song before segueing into their actual first dance. Gotta love a couple who truly has fun with their day!
Guests had fun in the photo booth provided by Temple Photo Booth Rentals.
And everyone danced the night away!
