Sometimes we receive emails that are just too good to be true. This couple contacted us after they saw our work on the good old Internet. Well they told us they live in Singapore and wanted to fly to San Francisco for an engagement session in and around San Francisco and Marin. We thought it […]
Sarah and Andrew wanted to do something a little different that your typical session. They wanted to shoot at the Japanese Gardens in San Francisco. If you have never been to this location you would be wise to take a visit and don’t forget your camera. Once you enter the Gardens you a greeted with the sounds of birds and slow running water around the property. I was amazed at how beautiful this place really is, couldn’t believe this was our first time shooting at this location. Sarah told us her favorite location in the gardens and when we arrived at her favorite location we were taken back by the breathe taken views of the gardens. The Koi Pond was by far my favorite as it stretch around the property in a snake like fashion. When your ready to take a breath head over to the cafe for tea and relax your troubles away.
Nature is a beautiful thing. Amy and Donny enjoy nature and wanted us to photograph their session in Davis near and around the Arboretum. If you have never been on campus you are missing out on and abundance to interesting plant life. Nature, the birds are the best part of this amazing location.
Vanisha & Ash are that fun, stylish couple you would love to photograph anytime of the day. They both showed up at the Fort in San Francisco dressed in their traditional Indian Wardrobe. Vanisha dressed gleamed in the sunshine like a sparkly princess while Ash looked like an actor right out of a BollyWood Movie. Photographing this amazing couple was nothing short breath taking. San Francisco offers a variety of locations for photographing couples. You can shoot around the city, their are tons of parks, your just short hike from museums and the beach. If you dare to be wild you can even spot some amazing alley ways along the city.
We opted for a different kind of look and headed to the Fort along the coast. It has been my dream for the last few years to do something along the coast and when I had the opportunity I jumped at it with this lovely couple. The weather was a bit on the cold side and I was worried the fog would roll in and take away my vision for an amazing sunset shot. Vanisha and Ash blew my mind during the shoot and my jaw dropped during every little click.
Briana and Steve have that connection that we all hope to have in our lives. We met Briana early this year while presenting at our annual bridal show in Sacramento. She heard about us from one of our previous brides whom we photographed last year. She immiedated darted towards me and said we were shooting her wedding. I love it when personal connections are made from face to face meetings. We set up a date to photographer their engagement session and WOW were we blown away by the final result. The four of us headed to the Mondavi Center in Davis California to capture some amazing fun images. Kris and I wanted to get to know the couple so we always start off with a fun joke or two to get them warmed up and ready for their session. Sometimes we even turn on the bluetooth radio to set the mood. They were stoked to being and moved with ease. The best part of the day is capturing this tiny little gestures and smiles as they glance at one other during the shoot. You can tell someone how to love, but the truth is it’s a feeling and they showed it every time.
“I want to take out engagement pictures in the woods.” This was Samantha’s only request of us. She grew up in Washington and just had to have a woody, romantic setting for her session. We drove up to Placerville and found the ideal location tucked away off Hwy 50. The sunset was flawless as we explored the Placerville National Forest. This off the path engagement session felt impromptu and spontaneous, which led to real moments between Andrew and Samantha. We literally walked off the beaten path and followed where we can only guess dear wonder until we came to an incredible clearing. We still have no clue as to what these huge weeds were, but they looked awesome. In the clearing we found an open patch of earth where the couple cuddled up and enjoyed the sunset. The huge sugar pine and sequoia trees surrounded them as they chatted and we snapped away. It was magical in all ways. What a way to kick of the winter season than with an wonderful and fun couple. Winter engagement session in the forest makes for the perfect California back drop.
This beautiful couple chose the San Francisco Presidio and Crissy Field as their engagement shoot locations. Emily & Jack are such a spunky, funny and silly couple; they so much fun to shoot! It quickly became apparent that they are quite the troopersas well; they had to fight the cold and the wind the entire […]
Emily and Wesley wanted to do something earthy and different for their engagement session. We began our fun session at Preserve located in Winters California. Emily and Wesley love the small town feel and wanted a place where they could reconnect and remember the first day they met. What a beautiful session and a relaxing […]
This country style shoot was the brain child of our very own adorable couple Shannon and Tim. We headed to Gibson Ranch outside of Sacramento and wow it was nothing less than beautiful! We were able to shoot all over this ranch; every inch was incredibly photogenic! So, we took advantage of having this fine […]
Michelle and Dan’s engagement session was so much fun! They originally wanted to shoot in Apple Hill, but they felt that too many people do that sort of thing. So they asked us if we had any ideas… and of course we did! So Kristina and I gave them some San Francisco-options and they […]
Ana and Dan enjoy having a quiet coffee shops to just sit down and reconnect with each other after a long day. They wanted to do something that incorporated their life and what better way than to have a cup of JOE. We stopped by Bloom Coffee and Tea in Roseville before we snapped off […]
Lindsey and Ben’s engagement session at the West 12 Ranch in Lodi, California was so memorable! Just skim through their photos, and you will see what I mean. During our session, Lindsey and Ben shared with me that they couldn’t live without each other for two main reasons: 1) their immense love for one another, and […]
I had an amazing time shooting this amazingly creative couple. They decided they wanted to do something different for your engagement shoot. They sent me their ideas via Pinterest and boom the shoot was born. I began working on a shot list on how I wanted to tell their story for their engagement book. Richard […]
Amanda & Matt chose to have their engagement session locally at Old Sac in Sacramento, CA. They brought cute props which added a unique feature to their engagement session. Engagement sessions at popular places, like Old Sacramento, can get repetitive. A great way to remain unique would be to bring props that have either […]
When Maribel and Noe came out for their engagement session at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, they came out to impress us big time. The affections that poured out from those two was just amazing. We felt as though we were in a day time soap opera. It was pure enjoyment watching […]
