UC Davis Arboretum Engagement Session in the spring with Dee & Kris. The Arboretum is lovely in the spring for engagement portraits. This was a perfect engagement location for Carla & Martin. They wanted to capture their love and devotion to one another and use their images for their ‘save the date’ cards and engagement album. Dee & Kris love photographing these sessions at the UC Davis Arboretum because it is like 4 locations in one. We start on the eastern portion of the campus where the bridges go over the small stream the trickles down the path. This winds through vegetation and beautiful, low hung trees. Ducks and other wildlife meander past the couple as Dee & Kris photograph away.
The path then opens up into a small Red Wood forest that allows soft light to pass through on the couple. This is a great area to capture sun stream through the tall limbs of the Red Woods. Eventually the path falls upon a small lake that has a arched wooden bridge on the western edge. A huge Oak Tree leans heavily over the small lake. There are often students scattered about studying or reading. It is tranquil and relaxing. Carla & Martin enjoyed the calm feel of the path and it allowed for organic moments to arise during their engagement session with Dee & Kris Photography.
