Katie and Ryan hosted a fall themed wedding in Downtown Sacramento. They wanted to get married in a church; so their coordinator, Ashleigh Adams, planned the perfect day at The Citizen Hotel and Cathedral of the Blessed. First, the couple got ready in separate rooms at the Citizen Hotel with their bridal party by their side. Morgan Merrill of MM Beauty helped Katie with her beautiful makeup and classic red lip that pulled her whole look together!
Katie walked down the aisle wearing sparkly Kate Spade bow topped heals. The bridal bouquets and the groomsmen boutonnières were created by Bloem Decor Florist.
For their first look and portraits, we walked right down the street to the Capital Gardens. Ryan was so excited to see with beautiful bride, and Katie couldn’t wait to show Ryan that her wedding dress had POCKETS!!
The the couple walked hand in hand down the street to The Cathedral of the Blessed, Sacrament. It was important for Katie and Ryan to get married in the church by a priest so the Cathedral of the Blessed was the most incredible place to say “I do.”
After a trip back to the Citizen’s 7th Floor Terrace, the party began with a huge grand entrance. Joe Kalamaras with SJ’s Disc Jockey got the crowd rowdy with their entrance song and encouraged guest to swing their napkins in celebration!
Freeport Bakery created this delicate and beautiful white cake with gold pumpkins as accents. How cute are the little hats on those pumpkins?! We are obsessed!
The it was time for dancing! Katie and Ryan shared their first dance, then Katie danced with her father and Ryan with his mom. They also wanted to have a special moment with all their guests so they allowed all their guests to dance with either of them for a few seconds. We loved this idea because it gave guest to offer their congratulations, say hello, and share their favorite moments.
They opted for a romantic session in the governor’s suite. We absolutely love the intimate setting that the couple is going to cherish forever.
The sky blessed with one of the most epic sunset of 2019! The golden glow was so beautiful ending the perfect day.
For this fall themed wedding, the Little’s invited their guests to the pumpkin patch, AKA their tables, by giving every guest a mini pumpkin with their table number!
What’s the perfect fall dessert? PIE, obviously! Ryan and Katie had Freeport Bakery make individual mini pies for everyone! There were tons of different flavors: Pumpkin, apple, blueberry, and peach. Something for everyone! Check out more unique dessert ideas on our dessert blog!
