The first look is the moment the Bride and Groom see each other for the first time. Whether that be when the bride walks down the aisle, the groom and guests all see her for the first time together. Or an intimate moment between the bride and groom before the ceremony begins.
Having time before the wedding to absorb the excitement of the day and intimacy between the couple has allowed for the actual wedding to become more powerful as jitters are often removed and the couple is no longer worried about how the other looks, but instead is concentrating on the moment at hand – the marriage.
There is also a time factor that is not lost by doing a pre-wedding first look. We can design your timeline to allow for all pictures (including immediate family portraits) to be completed pre-wedding, thus allowing the couple and their families to all enjoy cocktail hour post-wedding. This means that everyone can enjoy their guests, and start the party earlier! Let’s make magic!
We will set up the first look so that you can get that wow factor that every bride wants. We will work with you to choose a good location and help direct you so that you don’t have to worry about anything. Here are a few ideas:
1. Groom waiting at the bottom of a staircase and the bride walks down and taps him on the shoulder and he turns to see her
2. Groom is waiting on one side of the door and the bride walks around to see him in the doorway.
3. The Bride and Groom are back to back and turn to reveal each other at the same time
The options are endless and we will make sure it is perfect!
Many of our 2018 couples opted for a first look prior to the ceremony, here are just a few of the best first look pictures from Dee and Kris Photography
Don’t want to physically see your partner before walking down the aisle but still want a special moment? Consider reading your love letter to your future spouse behind a door.
