Today’s wedding story began when two college students walked into a bar one night . . . but there isn’t a punch line here. Of the approximately 900,000 people residing in San Francisco in 2013 and out of the roughly 6 bars per 10,000 households in San Francisco, Nick and Kaleigh found each other. (Well, technically Kaleigh found Nick, and with the help of some Jameson liquid courage, she went up to him.) That aside, Nick and Kaleigh became the beneficiaries of a chance meeting that changed their lives forever. Although they did not know it immediately, they had found the one person on this pale blue dot of a planet that they were made to be with.

Kaleigh told Nick that it was important to her that they waited until after she graduated from law school to become engaged. She regretted this approximately mid way through her second year but Nick took her wishes very literally. In March of 2018, Nick asked for his future father in law’s blessing to propose. Kaleigh’s Dad said something along the lines of “duh!”

On May 12, 2018, Nick surprised Kaleigh with a proposal following her hooding ceremony. Nick’s Mom, fully aware of the plan, bamboozled Kaleigh into turning around for a photo of her hood. Kaleigh did not suspect any mischief was afoot. Unbeknownst to Kaleigh, Nick took this opportunity to prop himself on one knee behind her. Kaleigh began to lose her patience because how long does it take to get a photo anyway and eventually turned around to the best sight, probably ever. Nick asked Kaleigh to marry him and Kaleigh essentially screamed “yes” in response!

Then, on September 28th, this sweet couple got to tie the knot! Kaleigh and Nick’s wedding at Sova Gardens was one for the books! Inside the 1906 restored farmhouse, Kaleigh and her girls got prepped and pampered with the help of Napa Makeup Artist Stefanie Fritz. We are in love with their custom wedding stationery by Kate of Love Letter Paper Co.

Kaleigh looked amazing in her Hayley gown by Hayley Paige while her bridesmaids wore beautiful cabernet dresses by Jenny Yoo. Completing her bridal look is an Augusta Jones Veil, a sparkly Sara Gabriel hairpiece, and earrings from Haute Bride. Everything that Kaleigh wanted for her special day was found at Swoon Bridal Salon!

Nick and his groomsmen decided on a classic suit with a cabernet colored tie from Men’s Warehouse

Their dream wedding cake was created by Two Chicks in the Mix. The three-tiered wedding cake featured a custom Nick & Kaleigh from Etsy creator Rawkrft and pink and white roses to tie in with the rest of their wedding decor!

The party moved onto the dance floor with the help of DJ Terry of Magic Entertainment. They also provided a photo booth, score!

A wedding at Sova Gardens would not be complete without the perfect garden ceremony site! They decorated their alter space with two wite barrels and a large bouquet of roses. To entertain their guests before and after the ceremony, the couple created custom corn hole boards and a large connect four game! The ceremony also featured wedding musician Stephan Kane. Their coordinator, Maria Bartolome of By Your Side Events, was literally by their side every step of the way! From the pre-planning to setting up the ceremony site AND reception. She was on top of the entire wedding!

For their catering, this couple chose Napa wedding catering company Park Avenue Catering. Not only did they provide a plated meal for all their guests, but Park Avenue Catering created a huge hor’ derve table for their guests to enjoy during cocktail hour!

Their custom photo guest book was created by Etsy artist Paper Peach Shop

To top off their beautiful wedding decor, Nick’s aunt and uncle graciously agreed to do all their florals. From Kaleigh’s bridal bouquet and Nick’s boutonniere to the florals decorating all the reception tables.
